Tuberculosis Program

The department's Tuberculosis (TB) Program’s mission is to cultivate, strengthen, and support public health and healthcare partnerships to improve the identification, care, and prevention of tuberculosis and decrease tuberculosis illness, inequities, and death in Washington.

What we do

The TB Program utilizes evidence-based practices to promote equity in TB programs across Washington to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients, families, and communities. We strive to raise the visibility of TB as a public health concern and highlight the value of investment in TB prevention and care. We work to strengthen engagement and collaboration with TB partners in all areas of the state including survivors, local public health, health care professionals and associations, tribal health, community clinicians, community-based organizations, corrections, and other public health and professional partners impacted by TB.
