Our Annual Radon Poster Contest is a chance for students ages 9 through 14 to teach others about the risks of radon. The contest encourages participants to learn more about:
- How radon gets into a home.
- The harmful effects of exposure to elevated indoor radon levels.
- The importance of testing your home for radon to help ensure your family’s health.
The contest runs through January and February each year because January is Radon Action Month.
The top three posters from Washington each receive a prize. First-place winners from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho compete for the Regional Grand Prize award. First-place posters from each state are submitted to the following year’s National Radon Poster Contest.
You can find out more about participating, artwork requirements, and prizes on our Northwest Radon Poster Contest information page.
