For new construction or modification of an existing Water Recreation Facility for the public (swimming pool, spa, wading pool, spray feature, water park, or water feature), you will need to obtain a permit. Who you get the permit application from depends upon which county the construction is occurring.
Note: This permit is not for single-family residential home pools. Contact your county or city building department to see what you need for building a pool at your home.
Clark, King, Pierce, Snohomish, or Spokane County
For facilities in Clark, King, Pierce, Snohomish, or Spokane County, you need to contact and get a permit application from their local health department.
All Other Counties
