Updated Cards 2024
Washington State Newborn Screening cards were updated in May 2024. We hope these changes will help achieve the following goals:
- Decrease demographic error rates which may cause delays in treatment AND inaccurate results
- Increase equity and inclusion in newborn screening
- Make filling out the card easier for specimen submitters
The new cards are green. If you have any purple screening cards, please continue to use those cards if they are not expired. New cards are being shipped with any submitted card order.
