If a public water system in Washington experiences a water shortage, or anticipates experiencing one in the next six years, state rule requires the system to prepare a water shortage response plan as part of a water system plan.
This guidance document can help water systems meet this requirement. Part 1 is guidance and instruction on how to complete the plan. Included in Part 2 are several templates that can be used to assist water systems with their plan.
