Information and Technical Assistance

The Northwest Regional Office regulates and provides technical assistance to over 2,156 Group A Public Water Systems serving approximately 4,458,373 people. 

Office hours: Monday through Friday | 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

Staff are available to assist with most questions, we will refer other questions as necessary to the appropriate staff member for response

Engineering Staff

Regional Engineering staff are responsible for the implementation of the state's drinking water program in assigned counties. They conduct sanitary surveys and special purpose investigations of public water systems and promote needed water facility improvements. They lead reviews of specifications for system improvements and provide technical assistance to purveyors and local health departments upon request.

Planning Staff

Regional Planning staff are responsible for the implementation of the state's drinking water planning program in assigned counties. They lead reviews of Water System Plans, Small Water System Management Program Plans, Water System Consolidations, Water Use Efficiency, Funding. They provide technical assistance to purveyors and local health departments upon request.

Administrative Staff

The program assistants play a crucial role in ensuring outstanding service for both the Office of Drinking Water and our external partners. 

This team is responsible for:

  • Assisting with customer inquiries.
  • Managing public records.
  • Overseeing invoice processing.
  • Tracking project reviews.
  • Drafting, proofing, and formatting correspondence.
  • Tracking and filing Consumer Confidence Reports. 
  • Maintaining accurate filing and records retention systems.
